Who we are
Aboriginal Peoples’ Alliance (Northern Ontario) – APANO, is a non-profit autonomous charity incorporated since 1983 and governed by the Statutes of the Ontario Ministry of Consumer and Commercial Relations. APANO services six (6) distinct geographical areas that include the Districts of Cochrane, Timiskaming, Sudbury, Nipissing, Ottawa and James Bay, with nine (9) site locations, eight (8) in the northeast and one (1) in the southeast.

APANO's Healthy Babies, Healthy Children (HBHC) is a comprehensive, family-centered program created to support parents and caregivers in giving their children the best possible start in life.
Its purpose is to ensure that every child—regardless of background—has the opportunity to grow and thrive in a safe, nurturing, and healthy environment.
APANO's Healthy Babies, Healthy Children program supports prenatal through early childhood, and is dedicated to assisting Indigenous, non-Indigenous, Métis, and Inuit families, recognizing and respecting the diverse cultural values, traditions, and strengths within each community.

to meet you and your families’ unique needs.
Our goal is to foster the growth and development of children (0-6 years) and parents by helping them to develop strong parenting skills using traditional teachings.
